You're right, this couple with Colligo Rigging is cool...
Dave and Sarah Naughton have rigged their second consecutive boat with Colligo Marine® Rigging. They started their trans-Pacific Crossing from Oxnard, CA to Molokai, HI after only a short "shakedown" cruise from Oxnard, CA to Santa Cruz Island, CA.
Dave & Sarah's boat Aikane
" We like, when using Colligo, that we can work with it ourselves, and we love that we can carry spare materials for an emergency because it's easier to carry line than it is rod or wire."
- Sarah Naughton
Aikane has two Extra Light Headsail Furling Systems - the jib has a drum furler option and the inner forestay has a continuous driveline option (pictured above). They also have Colligo Dux Shrouds, Lifelines, Custom Chainplates, and Custom Spreader Tips.
Dave and Sarah bought materials from Colligo Marine and beautifully spliced their lifelines and standing rigging on their own. They claim that if anything were to go wrong with their rigging they could see visible cues of stress on the Colligo Dux and it is "...easy to fix in a pinch...".
"Colligo makes things work with Colligo Marine® Custom Hardware"
John Franta (owner of Colligo Marine & Lead Engineer) custom built stemball-fittings to adapt their stemball fitted mast to Colligo Dux rigging on their last boat.
